Picnic SpotBrindavan Gardens was constructed in 1927 and completed in 1932 under the supervision of Sir Mirza Ismail, the then Diwan of Mysore. The garden is spread over about 60 acres and is designed in the Mughal garden style, inspired by the Shalimar Gardens of Kashmir.
Located below the Krishna Raja Sagara (KRS) Dam across the River Cauvery, the garden is arranged in three terraces with flowing water channels, lush lawns, flower beds, and ornamental trees. The highlight of the garden is the Musical Fountain Show, where water jets dance in synchronization with music and colorful lights during the evening.
The garden attracts tourists throughout the year and is especially popular among families, couples, and photography lovers. It is also one of the most famous picnic spots near Mysuru.
